Santiago de Chile, host of the 2025 Track Cycling World Championships. I had set big goals for myself and invested everything. After the World Cup in Konya in March, everything revolved around the World Championships. The big goal was to come home with a medal. But the exact opposite happened. I was completely exhausted from the whole season. I didn’t recognize myself. Accordingly, the disappointment was huge. I urgently needed some distance from the sport to be able to look forward again to what lies ahead. And it turned out to be the best decision to take one more week off than planned. because just three months later, I was able to celebrate my greatest success!
